We’re taking Storm Water Awareness Week on the road again! Join Adam and Steve on a fast-paced road trip to three California municipalities, where they talk with them about their storm water programs. Buckle up!
Keynote 1: Education and Outreach at the City of Lodi – Section E.7 in the Phase II MS4 Permit talks about the importance of having an effective education and outreach program. In this keynote session, excitement and adventure await as Steve and Adam blitz the Lodi Farmer’s Market, encounter the Storm Drain Detectives, take a kayak trip on Lodi Lake, and learn about Lodi’s award-winning education and outreach program.
Keynote 2: Pollution Prevention and Good Housekeeping with the City of Napa and Napa County – Good housekeeping is vitally important to the success or failure of a storm water program. To learn about good housekeeping, Steve and Adam drive out to the City of Napa and Napa County to find out the secret to keeping a municipality clean and tidy. Also in store is a drive along the scenic Silverado Trail, a stop at the Oxbow Public Market, and stroll in Downtown Napa.
Keynote 3: Construction, Post-Construction, and Low Impact Development at the City of Redding – The Post-Construction measures in the Phase II MS4 permit require development projects to implement design measures to reduce runoff. Watch as Steve and Adam brave 118-degree heat to learn about new low impact development projects at the City of Redding. Along the way, they encounter Sweet Pea the Skunk, walk along the famous Sundial Bridge, and gather a few sunburns.
