Take off with Storm Water Awareness Week 2019! This year, our theme is storm water and the aviation industry, and we’ll be travelling to three California airports to hear about their storm water programs.
Keynote 1: San Francisco Int’l Airport – In this keynote session, we will go to one of California’s largest airports, the San Francisco International Airport, to talk about their unique industrial and construction storm water programs and how they help to protect water quality in the Bay. This workshop will focus on the airport’s unique individual NPDES permit, the airport’s pollution prevention practices; construction management program, and education and outreach program.
Keynote 2: Lake Tahoe Airport – In this second keynote session, we will look at the South Lake Tahoe Airport’s industrial and construction storm water programs and how they help to “Keep Tahoe Blue.” This workshop will focus on the unique permitting situations in South Lake Tahoe, the airport’s pollution prevention practices; construction management program, and municipal storm water program.
Keynote 3: Stockton Metropolitan Airport – In this third keynote session, we will look at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport’s industrial storm water program focusing on pollution prevention techniques; industrial vs. non-industrial areas; areas of no exposure; source reduction techniques; and storm water sampling methods.
